All Hands Raised Partnership Chapter 01
Dear Friends –
It is a pleasure to share with you The All Hands Raised Partnership: Chapter 01. Chapter 01 highlights the dynamic work happening throughout the Partnership, sharing progress and early results generated through our collaborative efforts. In addition, baseline data and improvement targets are portrayed for each of our Indicators, revealing entrenched disparities as well as reasons for hope and optimism.
There are many voices in our community affirming that what we began together at the close of 2010 is taking root and making lasting change in Multnomah County, including Portland State University President Wim Wiewel, who was instrumental in bringing the cradle to career framework to our community: “Every person deserves a seamless set of opportunities to get the skills and knowledge they need for the life they want to lead. That’s what we mean by ‘cradle to career.’ There is a more integrated way of thinking about education taking root in Oregon, and the All Hands Raised Partnership is leading the charge here in Multnomah County.”
This is just Chapter 01 – there are many more chapters to come. Thank you for all of the ways, large and small, that you contribute to the success of our kids. They represent our hope and inspiration, and the most important investment we can make for the prosperity of our community.
Sincerely,
Dan Ryan
PS – I have also included a one-page overview of the work highlighted in Chapter 01.
