All Hands Raised to Cohost OEIB Statewide Equity Lens Discussion
Together, the Oregon Education Investment Board (OEIB), the Coalition of Communities of Color and All Hands Raised, are hosting a live webinar at Concordia University on the OEIB’s Equity Lens and how to ensure equity is at the center of our shared work. This event is scheduled for Friday, January 31 from 11 AM to 1 PM in Concordia’s Hagen Campus Center. The presenter will be Doris McEwen, Ph.D., former Deputy Director, Curriculum and Instruction at OEIB.
Partners across Oregon will be calling into this webinar, but Portland has the unique opportunity to gather together to hear Doris speak in person. Following the webinar, attendees will discuss local efforts, including the Tool for Organizational Self-Assessment Related to Racial Equity developed by the Eliminating Disparities in Child & Youth Success Collaborative, a Collaborative of the All Hands Raised Partnership co-convened with the Coalition of Communities of Color. The All Hands Raised Partnership has established educational equity as its top priority, and this is a unique opportunity to move that agenda forward.
The event is free but space is limited, so please register ahead of time if you plan to attend by clicking here: http://oeibequitylens.eventbrite.com. Light refreshments will be provided.
