This Community is Together

Dear Friends –
Last week at our annual fundraising event, “Together,” we released the third chapter in the story of our shared work. Chapter 03 and the companion overview highlight how we bring together practitioners and leaders from education, business, government and non-profit organizations to focus on racial equity and improve educational outcomes for the 220,000 children and youth living in Multnomah County.
At “Together,” we shared one story of impact from Reynolds Middle School, where we are on the ground providing services with the explicit goal to increase engagement of (while also decreasing suspension and expulsions of) male students of color. We were humbled by Corey’s story and his willingness to share his truth with us. Watch the story now.
While there is no single person, program or organization that can guarantee a child’s success, through collective action and shared accountability we are creating amazing new opportunities for our kids every day. We hope that you will share this work with a neighbor, colleague or friend.
You can also access deeper data analysis of the Community-wide Indicators here. And you can request additional print copies of Chapter 03 by emailing info@allhandsraised.org.
Six years after embarking on this journey together we have kept people at the table and sustained our focus. We are building something special for the long term.
Gratefully,
Dan Ryan, CEO
