All Hands Raised Statement on Alignment with Multnomah County Superintendents/New AHR CEO

Recently,  attention has been focused on All Hands Raised due to a correspondence from Multnomah County superintendents. The AHR Board and staff are in active dialogue with Multnomah County superintendents to seek better alignment with school districts and their organizational priorities. We have not severed ties nor ended our long-standing relationship with these superintendents.

All Hands Raised has been serving as a non-profit organization with a mission of educational equity for 30 years.  Convening community stakeholders to support community solutions is essential to address changing needs and barriers that a cradle-to-career continuum faces in an evolving society. From early learning, through K-12, to post-secondary, the need to address systemic inequities and disparities is urgent and real.

As with all partnerships, changes in priorities may evolve while final goals remain the same. Deliberate awareness and attention to all community partners along the continuum is necessary to keep it healthy and beneficial for all involved.  AHR looks forward to carrying this purposeful and meaningful partnership for another 30 years. The goal of empowering every individual student to fulfill their own academic and personal potential cannot be done in isolation and is worthy of the collective effort.

We also want to take this opportunity to announce that the Board has selected the new AHR CEO and will issue an announcement in the next few weeks to celebrate and introduce this new leader.
