Meet Our
New CEO

Dear Friends:

We're thrilled to announce the appointment of our new CEO, Morgan Day.

Morgan brings a wealth of experience in community-building, partnership management, revenue development, legislative advocacy, and policy development. Her fresh perspective will be instrumental in revitalizing our relationships and advancing the work we've undertaken over the past thirty years. As you’ll see in her bio below, Morgan is a longtime champion of youth empowerment and systemic change.

ABOUT MORGAN

Morgan Day has dedicated her career to addressing systemic inequality and its root causes, centering those most impacted, and empowering changemakers. This personal mission has led Morgan to cultivate student leaders–focusing on centering students' voices and opening new pathways for their professional development.

In Day's former role as Director of Global Youth Programs & Partnerships at The World Food Prize Foundation, she oversaw youth-centered initiatives at the international level which emphasized STEM skill-building, mentorship, and creation of partnerships to advance young leaders in fields to improve global food security.

Day is known for fostering collaborative relationships with implementing partners, mainstreaming DEIJ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice) into her management and programmatic implementation, and creating a learning culture to advance the organizational mission.

Day has played pivotal roles in local community advocacy, notably with the Santa Fe Food Policy Council and New Mexico Food and Agriculture Policy Council. She spearheaded legislative advocacy efforts, driving coalitions to achieve tangible successes such as increasing state budget for the New Mexico Grown Farm to School program, passing urban agriculture ordinances in Santa Fe, and securing funding for the NM Double Up Food Bucks program. She also forged meaningful partnerships and relationship-building with tribal elders and activists within the Navajo Nation and the Eight Pueblos North of Santa Fe. With a keen awareness of bureaucratic challenges, she excels in building partnerships and prioritizing community-driven solutions.

Most recently, Ms. Day has served as an Adjunct Instructor at Portland State University as part of the Mark O. Hatfield School’s Sustainable Food System Graduate Certificate program. Morgan and her husband Shane have made Oregon their home since 2018.

We believe Morgan’s boundless enthusiasm, passion for empowering youth, and her expansive experience across sectors will be a boon for the All Hands Raised Partnership.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our shared mission and for championing equity in education.
